Good morning, Bloggers!! This is a red-letter day, because after 4 weeks on Michael's program, I have now lost 20.2 lbs. and 29 inches!!! My doctor is ecstatic because he's tried for the last 6 or 7 years to get me to lose weight, and I just didn't, but I knew this program worked, and worked well for me in the past, so I really had to try. I will tell you I am not straying far from the basic plan, because I just don't have the stamina to stand to cook, like I did before the Lipitor "killed" my leg muscles. However, I am steaming 2-3 veggies,(squash, broccoli, and carrots), making little meatballs out of 96-99% lean beef or bison, cooking boneless, skinless chicken marinated in white wine and garlic, steaming potatoes, and cooking brown rice. Then there are fresh fruits, frozen berries, and salad makings in the fridge! So, I am doing fine! I'm just not branching out and trying to be creative at this point. Oh, I forgot to tell you my blood pressure is really normalizing and my A1C (blood sugar) is back in the "normal" range! I had tests yesterday for cholesterol and triglycerides. Will be anxious to hear from them. I started physical therapy on my back last Friday. Will be going for 4 weeks, 3 times a week. Hope it helps as much as it did for my knee, earlier in the year!!!
