Update 2-1-2010

I just realized I had not posted for the week. This was one of those good news bad news weeks. The best news was that after being on the program about 2 weeks, my triglycerides, cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure are all vastly improved!!! In order to do that lab work, of course, I had to fast. That is a problem for me....most people lose weight when they fast. Not me. I have always gained because my body thinks it is going into "starvation" mode, so it stores anything and everything I ingest later.

The 1/2 day of fasting was followed by a day of travel without access to correct foods or correct time table. I was back on plan on Friday morning, but by Friday evening, I was coughing my head off, and since I tend to go straight to bronchitis if I don't treat it immediately, I began the medication regimen my doctor has me follow. Mostly I slept from Friday night through Monday evening, so I was basically not on the eating plan for 6 days!!! The bad news is I did gain lbs., but the good news is I lost 1-1/2 inches in the 5 places I have been measuring. So, I was back on plan today, and hopefully will not have further disruptions this week!! One thing is certain - I am looking forward to eating right. I feel so much better when I am P.O.P. (Perfectly On Plan)!!

So, you see all of us hit road blocks, but they are not a problem, unless we refuse to find a solution.... my solution is SWBM!! Happy losing!
