Wednesday, 1-20-2010

I didn't get a chance to post this morning, but just wanted you to know it was a very good day!! The scale said I was down 11.6 lbs. today!! I need to make a run through the recipes in the June and October archives to see what I want to cook for next week. Each week I try to prepare 2-3 proteins, 3 veggies, along with brown or jasmine rice and either baked or steamed new potatoes or baking potatoes to use throughout the week. Each week I try to change out one of the veggies and one of the proteins, just so we don't get bored with the same things all the time.

The strawberries have been SO sweet lately, and we're still able to get a few of the Honey Crisp apples to supplement the bananas, the mixed frozen berries, etc. I wish I could eat the ruby red grapefruit, but both my friend Beth and I take Synthroid, and cannot have grapefruit!!!
