My Weight-loss Adventure

This Blog is a chronicle of the weight-loss adventure I began on June 12, 2003 with Michael Thurmond's Six Week Body Makeover program, which is available at www.provida.com. It contains my story and the tools I have used to assure success along the way.

121st week

My goal for this week was to maintain my losses, since I was attending a rehearsal dinner and a wedding. I knew I would have no control over the food at the rehearsal dinner, so I just ate very small portions and compensated during the day with two of the rapid results meals of salad greens, grilled chicken and my homemade salad dressing. On the day of the wedding, I ate two very tiny appetizers and had a couple of sips of a diet drink (which, by the way, tasted like bleach to me!!), plus 1 very small bite of wedding cake, from my MIL's piece of cake. The main problem that day was that we had to be at the church by 11:30 AM for the 1:00 PM wedding, and although I ate nothing else off plan, my meals were NOT timed right. It was almost 5:00 PM by the time I got back home. Those two days of eating not exactly on plan, did my digestive tract in, and then I remembered how bad I used to feel, when I had eaten foods with corn or wheat in them. I paid for them dearly for about 3 more days, but by the end of the week and my weigh day, I had stayed exactly even.....goal met!! It has felt VERY good to be back on plan, on time, etc. and I think it just emphasizes how badly those processed foods make us feel. In the days before SWBM, I felt that way all the time, and thought it was "normal"!!!! It's great to know there is more to life than getting fatter and fatter and feeling bad all the time!! Thank goodness for Michael Thurmond and his Six Week Body Makeover!!!
