123rd Week
My plan for this week was just to maintain, since I knew I was going to indulge in the Italian dinner at church on Saturday evening, but in small portions. That's exactly what I did, but by Sunday morning, I had re-gained my 3 lbs. back. The good news is that it was gone by Wednesday of this week, and by this morning, I was still at that same weight. The best part is that I finally lost that other 1/2 inch in my waist,and TA-DA....now I've lost half my waistline!!!!!!! In all, I lost an inch this week, and in the process made a discovery. One of the foods we do NOT eat is anything with wheat, because supposedly it just sits and putrefies in the colon in many people. Apparently, I am one of those, because after eating that pasta (about 3/4 cup) and 1 very tiny roll along with a large amount of salad on Saturday night, I paid for it for about 4 days!!!
So, now this program has taught me how bad some of the foods I was eating made me feel. Those foods are added salt (joint pain), sugar (sleep apnea and lethargy), and wheat (digestive problems)!! I am so thankful that I FEEL so good...certainly better than I have for most of my adult life!!! I know that God led me to this program, and has helped me learn to listen to my body!!! It is such a feeling of freedom!!
