You cannot eat the same things all the time and NOT get burned out. I do try to do the easiest things possible, but occasionally I get creative and whip up a chunky veggie version of Chef-B's marinara sauce, and that is exceptionally tasty. Who knows I've buried my grilled chicken under it on the spaghetti squash I cooked or the rice I served it over. The condiment and sauce recipes are what saved me. I especially love the BBQ sauces for dipping my little grilled chicken breast pieces in or even my turkey sausage. Don't give up. This is a wonderful way of eating for the rest of your life, but you need to keep searching for the foods and recipes that are tasty to you. I searched a long time through the recipe boards before I came up with a recipe collection that tasted good to me. That's why I'm so willing to share that collection with others, because it gets frustrating sometimes looking for something that makes YOUR taste buds snap to attention!! I try to prepare at least one and sometimes two recipes each week that I did not have the week before and eliminate two I'm getting tired of. That's what keeps me on track. Sameness is easy, but boring!! Boring invites eating off program. Eating off program invites weight gain, etc., etc., etc. I'll be glad to send you my collection, if you'll email me at the address in my signature. My favorites are the salad dressings, and the various sauces (like mock Worcestershire, mock soy, spice blends, etc.). (First published 5/3/05)
